Totally Moved Out of the Warehouse

As of 3:46 p.m. this afternoon (Friday), I am totally out of the warehouse in Tampa with 1 hour and 14 minutes to spare.  The Lord has been good giving me warehouse space absolutely free for two years.  I am now based in Lakeland and gave out five computers yesterday going to the Bahamas, and received a phone call requesting 50 computers to go to the Dominican Republic.

It is going to be impossible to send out containers working out of my garage and a storage room.  I really need warehouse space with a dock.  So continue to pray.  But at least the two week process of moving out is over.  Glory!  Thanks to everyone who helped.

Storage room after Valdosta trip

This is a picture of the storage room after unloading the things from Valdosta today.

The computers we picked up yesterday have been stacked on the right side of the storage room.

Here is Vance's truck after a blowout on the way home from Valdosta.  When the tire blew out, a piece of it flew up and broke his fender and side marker light.

God is good.  We made it home safely and are still going strong.  Thanks for your prayers.

Storage room

Today was a good day.  Kim Wilson with God's Share Program, Inc. came to the warehouse and picked up all the little girl's panties (all size 4) to give to missionaries in Zambia and Africa.  She and her husband returned for a second load and took boxes and boxes of little girls and little boys socks.

Yesterday Vance and I moved all the computers into my garage.  Today, we began taking monitors to a storage room in Lakeland.  It is going to be a long process, but at least we have started.  There are a lot of missionaries coming to the warehouse next week to begin carting off everything left.

Lost my warehouse space

The owner of the warehouse told us some time back that Starbucks had been trying to rent our part of the warehouse for about six months.  But he told us that they must have refrigerated warehousing and it would take too much money to turn a normal warehouse into a refrigerated warehouse.  But Starbucks is determined and has been upping their offer time and time again.  They finally came up with an offer the owner of the warehouse could not refuse.  But the warehouse must be totally ready in 60 days.  So we have been given ten days to get all of our stuff out of the warehouse.

I have no idea where I am going to put everything. I have phoned all the missionaries who may be interesting in coming to the warehouse and getting things this week.  That will help.   I think I will rent a storage room or two in Lakeland and put all the monitors in it ($100.00 a month per storage room).   I think I can get all the computers (CPU) into my garage.

The ideal plan would be to purchase a 40 foot container ($1,000) or even two.  However, a person must have a place to put a container and my neighborhood will not let me put one in my yard.

Vance and I are scheduled to go to Valdosta on Thursday to pick up another 200 computers.  I still plan to do that because I hate to loose my sources for computers.

Pray for us that God would open another place for us.

I will keep you posted.
