This is the Valdosta crew today.  We really did it.  We loaded the horse trailer and the semi and lived to tell about it.  It was a great day.  We left Lakeland at 5:30 a.m. and got back about 7:00 p.m.  Thanks guys for your hard work.

We are making a run to Georgia tomorrow to pick up a semi load of school desks and a horse trailer load of computers.  There will be five of us.  Pray for traveling mercies and strength to load both trailers.

A Doctor's Wisdom

A Doctor's Wisdom

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even one year old and I am pregnant again. I do not want kids so close together.
So the doctor said: OK, and what do you want me to do?
She said: I want you to end my pregnancy, and I am counting on your help with this.
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: I think I have a better solution for your problem.  It is less dangerous for you too.
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued: You see, in order for you not to have to take care of two babies at the same time, let us kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born.  If we are going to kill one of them, it does not matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.
The lady was horrified and said: No doctor! How terrible! It is a crime to kill a child!
I agree, the doctor replied. But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.  The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.
He convinced the Mom that there is no difference in killing a child that has already been born and one that is still in the womb. The crime is the same!

Great Wisdom

300 school desks

When I was contacted this past week about 300 desks being available, I just could not let them go in the dumpster like the 500 desks a couple of weeks ago, simply because I do not have warehouse space.  So I started making phone calls and sending out emails.  Compassion Alliance in Ocala responded and said they could use them.  They have started shipping modular classrooms overseas, composed of eight classrooms complete with desks.

They had just sent a container to Central America this week and had then received a request from Ethiopia.  They knew they could get the modular classrooms for Ethiopia but they asked themselves, where can we get desks?  I phoned them the very same day and told them I had desks.

So we went up today and loaded the trailer full all the way to the back doors.

We were not able to get all the desks.  Here is what was left over for the next load.  There are some teacher's desks they want to pick up on the next load as well so each classroom will also have a teacher's desk.

Keep on praying for warehouse space.  The stuff just keeps coming in.

Glory!  I just love my job!
